Still Here

It's been a very busy week since I last blogged, and I just wanted everyone to know that I'm still among the living. Jeffrey started at a new school on Tuesday, so there has been a lot to do to get him ready for that. Monday Paul decorated another wedding cake for a girl in our church. On Tuesday evening she got married. I've posted a couple of pictures of the cake. Everything turned out real nice.
Imporvising for a "cake topper".Here is one of the "reception coordinators". Must be she had just had "enough". Finally time to hit the bottle. Actually she was taste testing the punch and there were no cups around to put it in.

Of course, last night was church, tonight is WOW, tomorrow night we are having a house full of company to celebrate Jeffrey's 6th birthday. Also, my cousin and her husband are coming, and they will be spending the night and the day with us on Saturday. Sunday will be more company and fellowship as well as worship and maybe a little nap. I'll plan to post pictures of the weekend at the beginning of the week. Have a great weekend, everyone!

You sound like you are so busy. I hate weeks like that. Maybe next week will be better. How is Jeffrey doing so far? Does he like it already?

The cake was beautiful and is tasted great (as usual)! Paul sure has a knack for that. Maybe he can make my second wedding cake, HA! HA! I guess he could always make a 15th wedding anniversary cake for us, that will next year, doesn't seem possible. --Don't let Beth fool ya, she probably "tips the bottle" like this at home all the time, LOL!

Glad Jeffery is doing well. Alayna is glad to have him even if they really don't see each other too much.

The cake is gorgeous! He ought to open his own cake decorating business.:)

I think Janiece stole my thoughts. I soooo wish Paul would have been around when we got married. My cake was hideous. It was supposed to be gorgeous but was made by a cousin that really WAS hitting the bottle (along with painkillers..yikes!!) Purple sugar sprinkles, red and green silk plants and kelley green water in the fountain for a purple and teal wedding!!!! I wanted to cry. So I was thinking Paul might have to make a cake for a 15th anniversary celebration for us (actually, I could beat Janiece to it by 9 months, lol!) I always wanted to have a Mexican fiesta and with all the Hispanics in our church, authentic food should NOT be hard to come by :)
